Bestway Hits Boston: Bolstering Our Impact on the Pharmaceutical Industry

Since one of Bestway’s strongest, and most longstanding, customer relationships is with a pharmaceutical client – handling weekly air freight shipping for them over the past 20 years – it makes sense that Bestway’s knowledge could benefit many others in the pharmaceutical industry.

So when we heard the pharmaceutical industry was gathering in Boston to discuss its supply chain needs, we knew Bestway needed to have a presence there.

Bestway Meets LogiPharma USA 2026

The event was from October 5-7, and Bestway’s Chance Pope and Libby Hausman represented our company wonderfully there.

“Everybody was there to talk about logistics in some capacity,” Libby said. “Sometimes you’ll go to events or trade shows and everyone sends their sales reps, so you’re just talking to someone who has no idea how their transport is handled. But in this case everyone was focused on what we do.”

Bestway got involved by co-sponsoring one of the popular features at the conference: The head shot lounge. And the more people saw and heard about Bestway, the more interested they were in developing a relationship.

“Conference attendees were very happy to meet a company that has more of a personalized approach to customer service while still having a global reach and the capacity to move shipments everywhere,” Libby said. “We also met a lot of companies that could be great partners, including carriers who have the equipment to move these types of pharmaceutical shipments while offering packaging solutions.”

Bestway’s services to the pharmaceutical industry are multifaceted, including:

  • Risk Assessments, in which we evaluate potential product for compliance and supply chain threats. That can include assessing changes to lanes, carriers and processes that help us to proactively mitigate risk. Specifically, the Bestway team looks at security risks inherent to temperature-control handling throughout the shipment lifecycle. We also evaluate deviations and CAPA trends while reviewing certifications, insurance and compliance documentation. We also assess the potential risks associated specific routes and seasonal issues.
  • Temperature Controlled Shipments, an area in which we deploy our 20 years of experience to manage shipments through specialized carriers, validated procedures and shipment monitoring. All of this is done to protect product integrity. In addition to monitoring temperature data and reviewing logs and excursion reports, we also support lane and packaging selection based the shipment’s required temperature rangers. We are also meticulous about risk exposure, evaluating potential issues at all transfer points.
  • Quality and Compliance. As a Good Distribution Practice-aligned company, we apply GDP principles in quality control, documentation and the use of trusted partners to support secure and compliant pharmaceutical logistics. That means constant monitoring of closure timeliness for deviations, as well as rigorous customer satisfaction scores. We also apply SOP-driven processes to reduce handling variability, while ensuring that all documentation is accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements from both origin and destination countries.

The connections Chance and Libby made in Boston are already bolstering Bestway’s network of resources, while giving Bestway an excellent opportunity to bring its knowledge of pharmaceutical supply chain issues to more companies that can benefit from it.

All told, it was a productive and worthwhile trip.
