Team Member Profile: Kaitlin Tague

If you’re a sports fan, maybe you remember a time when your team had the opportunity to add an absolute all-star to its roster.

That’s what happened to Bestway this summer.

Kaitlin Tague has been part of the supply chain/logistics industry for 15 years, with particular emphasis on freight-forwarding. She was a colleague of many current Bestway team members during her time as managing director of international relations at NorthPoint Logistics.

So most of the Bestway leadership team either knew Kaitlin or knew about Kaitlin – and her reputation for professionalism and excellence in customer service was widely recognized.

Which is why Bestway President Jay Devers was thrilled when, in July 2026, Bestway finally got the opportunity to bring Kaitlin onto the team as director of export services.

“When we had a chance to invite her to come on board, I was super excited,” Jay said. “I just sat there in the conference room and looked across from her, thinking, ‘This is so cool. I can’t believe it. How fortunate are we to be sitting here doing this?’”

Export services can present a great deal of unexpected challenges for shippers, and it’s worth more than gold when you find someone who maintains a quiet confidence and knowledge of the field to guide shipments to their destinations anywhere in the world.

“She has an extremely steady hand,” Jay said. “She’s very deliberate, very patient and very well-spoken.”

The feeling is mutual, Kaitlin confirms.

“I knew several people from NorthPoint who had come over here,” Kaitlin said. “I’ve always had a lot of respect for Bestway. And when I started talking to Jay and Riley (Wiles), there was a lot of similarity to the culture. Having good leadership and good management that’s not overbearing and lets you do your job – that was very important.”

Although Kaitlin was originally brought in as an account manager, discussions began almost immediately to appoint her as head of export services.

“I kind of had an idea that might happen,” she said. “I’ve really enjoyed coming in, learning the accounts and having the opportunity to lead the team. Obviously I’ve been in leadership positions within the forwarding industry, so I’d like to think I’m looked at as someone who has that experience and can bring that to the table.”

One thing Kaitlin said she appreciates about Bestway is the company’s willingness to keep adding to the team as it grows, as well as deploying technology and data strategically without it becoming a substitute for personal service.

“We can offer a lot of advice to clients who are looking for good service and not just the cheapest price points,” Kaitlin said. “We’re super customer-centric, and we make sure they’re taken care of and they have what they need, and if they don’t understand something, let’s get on the phone and talk through it.”

Many of her customers have added her to their personal cell phone contacts because they want Bestway as accessible as possible.

While Kaitlin may be one of a kind in logistics, she is one of three in her family. Kaitlin is a triplet, and spent her entire upbringing with not one but two identical sisters.

“That was a big part of growing up,” she said. “We were always just the triplets.”

She and the other triplets (as well as two other sisters) grew up in Wichita before moving to Kansas City when Kaitlin was nine. Today she is newly married and enjoying that aspect of her life – as well as her new position at a company that is very happy to have her.
