People who stand up for neglected and abused children do some of the most important work in our society, so it’s an honor for us at Bestway International to support Jackson County CASA in recent years.
CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates.
Those looking to support CASA go through training on how to advocate for children who are in the Jackson County Family Court system while waiting for a safe and permanent home.
Recently CASA reached out to Bestway asking for help preparing goody bags for their annual CASA Carnival, which is a family fun event with games, rides and treats for family members of all ages.
We relished the opportunity to help in this way, so the Bestway team gladly took the time to stuff bags and make sure each child got something special on such a great day for them.
We love sitting at our desks and taking care of our customers, but this was a very welcome change of pace for a wonderful and important cause.
The vision of Jackson County CASA is that every child in the system due to abuse or neglect will ultimately grow up in a safe and permanent home, and everything we can do to support that mission, we will gladly do.
